Aberdunant Hall Holiday Park

Aberdunant Hall Holiday Park is one of North Wales best kept secrets. Located within a massive 200 acres of stunning woodland valley on the edge of Snowdonia, this charming holiday park is perfect for couples and families looking for a relaxing break in Wales.

The site has a convenient location set between the quaint fishing port of Porthmadog known for it's golden beaches, and the picturesque mountain village of Bedgellert which is famous for its walking and hiking trails. This unique location will appeal to many looking for a base to explore this lovely region.

Of course you may prefer to sit back and watch the world go by at the upmarket Country Club which has been completely renovated recently. Within the country club you will have access to the restaurant, bar and bistro with excellent outdoor terrace and the benefit of outstanding views across the North Wales mountains.

The beautiful area simply must be explored with the delights of Snowdonia right on the doorstep. There are breathtaking mountains and beautiful beaches offering dramatic landscapes and many outdoor activities. The Snowdon Mountain Railway is a good place for a day trip and you can relax on board and enjoy the scenery. The unique village of Portmeirion is also worth a visit and was the setting of the TV series The Prisoner. The area is also home to several castles including Harlech Castle and Caernarfon Castle.

Reviews of Aberdunant Hall Holiday Park have praised the site for being very safe for children and have commented on the beauty of the area. Others have talked of the wildlife including the rabbits hopping around the site and the many species of birds. Hot tub was great. Caravan was comfortable and clean.
Date of stay: 25th May 2018
Nice big lounge area ,enough equipment in the kitchen to cook basic meals , very small bedrooms. The food in the restaurant looked good but we only used the bar for the free WiFi as the cost to hire in Snowdon 3 was steep especially as we were sightseeing all day.
Rosalin, Lichfield

Date of stay: 11th August 2017
We did have a good holiday. The site was lovely and very picturesque nice lot of walks.
The caravan was spacious, the one problem was there was not anywhere to hang anything coats or towels in the bathroom no towel holder it was a bit inconvenient.
The cleanliness could have been a bit better there was food stuck in the plughole little things that make a difference.
On the whole we had a lovely time.
We did not use the restaurant.
Hazel, Scunthorpe
Date of stay: 11th August 2017

Date of stay: 23rd June 2017
Excellent. The woodland setting was a bonus providing shade with the weather being very hot. My only criticism was the lack of a fan in the caravan.
Date of stay: 19th June 2017
Beautiful caravan and would highly recommend. Picnic bench on the patio could have done with a sunshade as we were there in temperatures of 28c think this should have been provided
Scott, Banbury
Date of stay: 26th May 2017
Great short break thanks
Samantha, Manchester
Date of stay: 22nd May 2017
My only tiny issue was the air vents and the top of the wardrobe were full of dust.
They could do with being wiped a little more regularly.
Mary, Yeovil, Somerset
Date of stay: 20th May 2017
caravan very well equipped and comfortable, pillows a bit thin.
Graham, Fareham
Date of stay: 19th May 2017

Keith, Skelmersdale
Date of stay: 12th May 2017
The caravan was sufficiently furnished. Tv a bit small and the charge for WiFi was exorbitant!
The park is secluded and nice walks are all around.

Issue with front door locking but staff reported and dealt with it x
Craig, Newcastle Stafford
Date of stay: 24th April 2017
The table if 4 people use it was in the wrong place as you wouldn't be able to get around but only being the 2 off us was not a great issue.
Date of stay: 14th April 2017
This accommodation was great. There was everything that we needed in the accommodation and the addition of the hot tub was really good.
Date of stay: 10th April 2017
Fantastic, everything was catered for, including patio furniture.

Date of stay: 13th August 2016
Cooking items were a bit scarce but you learn to do without a few items for a few days. Pricey just for a place to crash out after a days exploring Wales., esp as its self catering also.
Alexandra, Bourne
Date of stay: 5th August 2016
Caravan was clean on arrival
Alaine, Dudley
Date of stay: 29th July 2016
Lovely comfortable bed
Janet, Oxfordshire
Date of stay: 4th July 2016
One of the best caravans we have stayed in .
Carol, Aberdare
Date of stay: 2nd July 2016
The Elm 3 we had was beautiful. We are a family of 4 adults, and the layout of the caravan was great. The beds in the twin bedrooms were long enough for our son who is 6'1". There was a bathroom with a shower and the double bedroom had an ensuite toilet, really handy. The beds were really comfy. The living room/kitchen was open plan, with plenty of room. The evenings were quite chilly so the central heating came in handy, and warmed us up a treat. The caravan had everything we required, it was a pleasure to stay there.
John, Chester
Date of stay: 24th June 2016
Excellent value for the money
Glenda, Exeter
Date of stay: 18th June 2016

Lovely dog friendly caravan.the outside space was enclosed for the dog but unfortunately very dark for us to sit out and naturally unclean due to the trees.

Date of stay: 9th May 2016
Have stayed in this caravan before (Royal Enclosure opposite hotel) and it's ideal for us and the dog, with plenty of room inside, central heating and enclosed decking and picnic bench. However, just a pity that the mattress is now too soft and springy and needs replacing!
Gail, Cheshire
Date of stay: 2nd May 2016
Good caravan
David, Telford
Date of stay: 29th April 2016

Date of stay: 5th October 2015
This is without a doubt the best caravan I have ever stayed in. The van was immaculate with everything I could want by way of furniture and fittings. It was a very pleasant surprise to find two toilets. Everything was clean and looked and felt new.
I believe the location in the Walled Garden was the best on the site. It felt secluded and private yet was close to the restaurant and bar. Perfect.
Colin, England
Date of stay: 28th September 2015
Caravan fab, sofa very ridgid was only issue eveything else perfect. Caravan is so spacious pity it couldnt have a solid sofa. Whole package fantastic little bit pricey so would get moneys worth and book per week next time.
Date of stay: 25th September 2015
Sofa's could have had a bit more padding to their backs - this would have made them just a little bit more comfy. Also, more channels on the telly would have been nice, we only seemed to get the basics (BBC, ITV, channel 4 and 5).
Kathryn, Wrexham
Date of stay: 14th September 2015
Spotless caravan with everything that you could need for your stay.

Date of stay: 24th August 2015
The caravan was lovely and clean on arrival with all beds made up for us.
There was ample of kitchen utensils etc and even towels and toilet rolls!
The only thing we missed was a dvd player for my young son as the weather was bad butthat's only a little niggle.
Overall the accommodation was great

Date of stay: 22nd June 2015
The Snowdon Caravans are situated within a Walled area , The only downfall is you do not have a view of the beautiful scenery This is the only part of the caravan site that does not have any views (real shame ) . We stayed Friday-Monday and it was quiet , However the parks work - Machinery Stores are right behind this area , I know if you were there in the week it would be noisy . If you want a nap in the afternoon it would be very annoying .
Tim, Swansea
Date of stay: 19th June 2015
Very new caravan, comfortable and had everything we needed
Date of stay: 5th June 2015
TV too small no internet
Tracy, Merseyside
Date of stay: 5th June 2015
The caravan was clean and all the furniture and fittings were of superior quality. We did not require anything.. even a full size ironing board, iron and plenty of utensils for cooking. Microwave looked like new and although we did not eat in much, we could easily prepare food when needed with ample space for all of us to move about and sit to eat.
Jo, Wirral
Date of stay: 1st June 2015

Date of stay: 8th May 2015
Snowdon 3 in The Walled Garden was well equipped, only things not there were a bottle opener and an oven glove. Appliances were easy to operate. Outside there was a large picnic bench and ample room to park a car. We tried the walk closest to the caravan, which can best be described as a hill climb apart for the first few metres. Wi fi and mobile reception was excellent. Bar prices were not expensive and beer excellent. Did not eat in Hotel so cannot comment, although I will say the decor in the bar/dining areas were very nice.
Graham, Pembrokeshire
Date of stay: 25th April 2015
beautiful caravan everything we needed.
Bernadette, Oldham
Date of stay: 24th April 2015
It's a lovely quiet park in wonderful woodland settings. The hotel and bar was very nice and the food was faultless. The only criticism was the outside area of woodland elm 2. It was very dark with lots of overhanging trees. You cannot eat there. Because the caravan next door was empty we sat outside there on an evening with a glass of wine. Everything else was great.
Christine, Darlington
Date of stay: 17th April 2015
The caravan seemed to be brand new - lovely. However there was nothing that made it feel homely such as pictures on the walls etc. Equipment provided was basic but adequate. It would have been good to have a welcome pack containing basic food, especially as there was no shop on site.
Anne, Oldham
Date of stay: 13th April 2015
Really great caravan and location. Good price due to the deal that was available.
Quite expensive under normal circumstances but as we needed the heating and hot water due to the weather, it was a bargain!
Michelle, Preston
Date of stay: 3rd April 2015
Lovely caravan with plenty of space. Despite it being a brand new caravan the toilet flush kept sticking and the bottle opener was broke!! Would recommend that everything is checked out thoroughly before letting it out.
Date of stay: 3rd April 2015
We stayed in what appeared to be a brand new Caravan, so ratings above could only be 10's.
Elizabeth, West Mids
Date of stay: 3rd April 2015
Great modern and new caravan.
A, Pembroke Dock
Date of stay: 3rd April 2015
Very clean and comfortable caravan. Warm and cosy with everything you would need. We particularly liked the little private patio area with picnic bench - a nice touch. The phone coverage is pretty bad and the WiFi was intermittant but we didn't mind as we chose Snowdonia to 'get away from it all'!
Date of stay: 30th March 2015
The snowdon spa 3 was immaculate when we arrived and it was very cold outside and raining and the site had already put the heating and fire on for us so when we arrived we were comfortable and warm. No problems what so ever with the caravan, situated on a lovely plot too.
Suzanne, Rhyl
Date of stay: 30th March 2015
Would definitely go back, had only booked for 3 nights but did consider staying for the week if the caravan was available. The veranda gave an extra space to the caravan.
Simon, Mansfield
Date of stay: 4th October 2014

We go on caravan holidays yearly and both myself and my husband are in agreement that this is truly one of the best all round holiday park we have stayed at. What an excellent base to be able to explore Snowdonia with everywhere close by, enjoyed returning at the end of every day and was sad to leave. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Fantastic holiday for a family. Child and dog friendly. Beautiful local area with plenty of activities and local points of interest to keep everyone happy when the weather was not good enough to spend time on a beach. We stayed for a seven night holiday in a Snowdon Spa. The accommodation was spotless, the surroundings beautiful and peaceful. The staff from check in, daily checks of hot tub, in the on site restaurant and the housekeeping staff were all extremely friendly and gave the impression of being happy in their jobs. Very very impressed.

Date of stay: 28th April 2014
Lovely new caravan, so decent mattresses on beds. Super location and this was our second visit to the park.
Good walks near by and the steam railway to enjoy.
We took own small lights for bedtime reading but this was no problem.
Srtaff were helpful and brought down extra bedding when we explained that an extra bed might be in use.

Date of stay: 24th March 2014
Excellent caravan, middle of winter but very warm. The only criticism were the sheets on the beds were too small !
Very pleased with place. Amazing place. Definitely coming back for next year holiday.
As a family of 5 holidaying for the first time in a caravan, we were really pleased with the Holiday Park and the caravan. The holiday park is beautifully located and lots of exploring can be done on site. The sitatuion of of caravan was perfect - we were in the walled garden and our hot tub wasn’t overlooked. In terms of surrounding areas - there’s so much to do and we kept our 2, 11 and 13 year olds perfectly entertained. Would highly recommend
lovely caravan with central heating and double glazing in a beautiful location
Beautiful surroundings in a well equipped and spotless caravan, helpful staff. Definitely worth a visit
Lovely peaceful place. Restaurant and bar very reasonable and good quality
fantastic !! only problem was checking in...had to wait for someone on reception who never turned up so we asked at the bar.
Lovely setting plenty of walks for our dog caravan spotless would return in the summer
Lovely new caravan - could have been slightly better equipped for kitchenware (oven tray, oven to table dishes etc). But overall very palatial. Staff were excellent when we had an issue with the central heating boiler -fixed immediately. Also came to re-tune TV after a windy night affected reception. A thoughtful touch. Thanks
Beautiful Site very relaxing, lo.vely food at hotel
Beautiful park, lovely caravan that was clean and really spacious. Location was perfect.

Fun Days Out near Aberdunant Hall Holiday Park

about 12 Miles
Glasfryn Activity Parc is an award winning year round attraction with plenty of facilities to keep the whole family happy. Quad Bikes, Archery, Soft Play and even Wakeboarding can all be enjoyed. The site also has a fantastic farm shop, a café and 10 pin bowing complex.
about 15 Miles
This attraction is really something special and has reached the finals of the "Best Family Day Out" category in the National Tourism Awards for Wales.  It's actually the only attraction in North Wales to be shortlisted for this prestigious award.
