Accommodation at Kielder Lodges is in attractive and spacious traditional style lodges. There are several types of lodge to choose from so there is sure to be something to suit your party's needs. All of the lodges have a TV and DVD player and a well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washer/dryer as well as microwave and toaster. Bed linen is included and beds are made up for your arrival. Cots and high chairs are available for hire at a small charge.
Hadrian comfort lodges are basic lodges with one double and one twin bedroom. One lodge in this category has access for a wheel chair. Redesdale comfort lodges are similar to the Hadrain comfort but have an additional single bedroom. Otterstone Executive lodges are Luxury lodges which include one double bedroom, with ensuite shower and one twin room. They also benefit from having a family bathroom with luxurious whirlpool bath. Some of these lodges are suitable for partially disabled visitors.
Tynedale Classic lodges are a good choice for families. They have one double and two twin bedrooms as well as a family bathroom with spa bath. These lodges also have an additional shower room so there will be no queues in the morning! Cheviot Classic lodges are also a good choice for families. These are two storey lodges with very useful outside space in the form of a verandah. The have one double and two twin bedrooms and a Spa bath with overhead shower as well as an additional cloakroom.
Hareshaw Premier lodges are luxury lodges offering stunning views over the lake. They have one double bedroom with ensuite shower, and one twin bedroom as well as a spacious family bathroom.

If you are looking for some historic sites then there are plenty around here! Northumberland is an area with turbulent history and there are many castles baring the scars of the dramatic battles which took place here. Alnwick Castle is a great place for a family day trip. The castle which doubles as Hogwarts School in the Harry Potter films is one of the finest in the north and it also boasts some spectacular water gardens. The castle is also home to owls and if you are here at the right time you may be able to enjoy a bird of prey show and get close to the owls that feature in Harry Potter!
A little further away is the pretty sea side town of Berwick. This is a magnificent town surrounded by walls which were built in the first Elizabethan era. The town also provides access to the causeway over which you must cross to visit Holy Island., Hadrian's Wall is still standing in this area and is a must see for any visitor to Northumberland.
If you are looking for something a little more livelily or perhaps want to do some shopping these Gateshead and the famous metro centre shopping centre are within reach. This thriving cosmopolitan town has numerous bars and restaurants too.
