Kielder Water Lodges are located at Leapish Waterside Park and form part of the Hoseasons exclusive Go Active Breaks collection. As with all Go Active sites, Kielder Water offers and outstanding array of activities. Families looking for activities they can enjoy together will love the Cro-Kick where croquet and football are combined, the Skip-Hop which combines hip hop dance moves with skipping and the swimming pool based Waterwalkerz and Sea Scooters which allow you to whiz around on top of the water! The King-Swing is also very popular with families and builds up to a thrilling 10ft high swing. Crazy Golf and the Play Garden are also available for more traditional family fun.
For more adrenalin boosting activities the Canoeing and Climbing are good options. The canoeing takes place on Europe's largest man made lake and the climbing on the specially made indoor wall. Mountain Bike hire is also available and this region offers some of the most technical and demanding single track mountain biking trails in the country.
More relaxing activities include Fishing, Pentaque, orienteering and pleasure boat rides around the lake. Make sure you have your camera ready to snap the local wildlife including the rabbits, squirrels, birds of prey and hares. We also recommend a visit to Kielder Water Bird of Prey Centre, situated within the magnificent forest and lakeside surroundings of Kielder Water.
