Accommodation type: Bittern Lodge
Having stayed at two other lodges at Langmere Lakes, we were actually a bit unimpressed by Bittern Lodge. This is a shame as we booked this lodge with the intention of checking it out prior to buying our own.
To call it a lodge is a bit of an exaggeration. The other lodges have a bit of character and are what I would call wooden log cabins. This was more of a chalet with wood paneling and a plastic balcony. Don't get me wrong, the 'lodge' is well furnished, generally clean and is very enjoyable, but it just wasn't the same. If you go, you will see what I mean.
The patio doors did not close properly, the TV was a pain to get working, the cooker hood was greasy and like another visitor has commented, there was dye on the towels.
Apart from that, the sofas' were comfy as well as the beds, the kitchen area was well equipped and the whole lodge is very comfortable and easily spacious enough for 6.
If you have a family that depends on WiFi, don't bother, you have no chance, buy them a book instead.
Bittern Lodge is modern and very comfortable, but just lacks that bit of character.
I would probably stay at Langmere Lakes for another year, but Bittern Lodge just did not do it for me.

Accommodation type: Widgeon Lodge
Double bed could of been ALOT better but hey ho
The lodge and it's setting was ideal.
We enjoyed having space in the surrounding grounds but at the same time we did not feel isolated.
We visited several seaside towns which were at their best as we were fortunate enough to have excellent weather.
Food and other provisions were reasonably close by and we also enjoyed produce from local butchers and grocery stores.
Mallard is a lovely lodge to stay at. It's close to the lake. Fantastic views. Always have had a lovely stay.

This was a very peaceful, beautiful holiday. Very tranquil surroundings. Just what you need when you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. My husband really enjoyed the fishing and definitely wants to go back. Lots of places visit nearby, great restaurants and tea rooms nearby. Everything is supplied along with a lovely welcome tray with tea, coffee and biscuits. Highly recommend .
The Lodge is in beautiful surroundings quiet and peaceful.
Whilst we were there we were really troubled by big wasps keep appearing inside the lodge really often and a little upsetting.
Outside could have been a little cleaner.
We still had a lovely holiday, and have another holiday booked there.
Beautiful, spacious, well appointed lodge let down by just a couple of points:
1. Unfortunately, one hand towel was badly stained which should have been obvious to the cleaners but it had been folded and placed for use. As the lodge was not at full occupancy we were able to deal with the issue by using another towel from a spare bed, so it was not quite the major problem it could have been.
2. Doors to the bathroom and ensuite creaked noisily making nightime visits obvious!
However, we would recommend this lodge and will definitely book again
Large lodge, plenty of space. Car parking space to lodge too remote.
Lovely lodge would love to stay again
Lovely peaceful location but nobody to report problems to. Very nice accommodation
Teal lake lodge was a revelation, so much space, OK there were only 2 of us, but the lodge was fantastic. Super smell of wood, comfy seating in the lounge, VERY comfy bed and almost everything needed in the kitchen - except a bread bin! The grounds are very well kept, even though there were works taking place to add lodges. This lodge is nicely quiet as it is tucked away in the corner of the complex. The site is so close to the broads and lovely countryside, so it is inevitable that we will return in the not too distant future. May even bring some family next time.
Lovely quiet location for a relaxing holiday and a good base to explore this part of Norfolk. Good choice of quality local pub restaurants.
Found Langmere Lakes a perfect situation for a fishing holiday, everything that you need for that perfect break (except rods, tackle and bait)
Every enjoyable will come back
Great lodge lovely surroundings
