Excellent base which was warm and comfortable and a good starting place for interesting days out. Will be back!
Really lovely lodge, just what was needed for a short break
Date of stay: 11th September 2017
Accommodation type: Bittern Lodge
Great lodge. Comfortable beds. Scenic outlook over fishing lake.

Excellent facilities. Our only comment was that a bread knife would have been welcome and also we found the previous occupants had obviously experienced problems using dish washer as cutlery had not been washed satisfactorily. These were only minor issues and did not detract from the excellent ambiance of the property.
We hope to return again before too long.
Was very lucky to get a 4 day break at a very good discounted price. We only paid half The amount our neighbours did so was pleased because I think it was extremely over priced The setting was lovely and peaceful but the fishing was not good. The lakes are nice but not many fish.
Shower could be overhauled.
Litter left from previous occupants a little off putting. No cot or high chair. But otherwise very comfortable. Reasonably well equipped kitchen, but more mugs for tea needed.

Lovely setting overlooking the lake and we really enjoy staying here.
This is not a complaint but an observation - perhaps to clear leaves from the decking also had to buy cleaning equipment to clean the outside table and chairs.
No enough wine glasses, other glasses. Bottle opener was broken.
Electricity went off (unavoidable) however since this seems to occur at times perhaps provision and explanation about what to do in the case of this event.
It would have been better if one of the double bedrooms had the possibility of being set up with an alternative two single beds as son had to sleep in the lounge and we needed to buy an extra duvet.
With good weather it is an excellent place to unwind and relax even if fishing is not for you..
Spacious and well appointed lodge. Generally very clean. A few very minor niggles - coffee stained mugs (which came clean with a quick scrub!) kitchen cupboard doors that didn't close properly - could be easily rectified by hinge adjustment and a very loose pan handle!
Beautiful accomodation, everything you could possibly need for self catering. Would definatley return and have recommended to several friends.
However we did arrive a little earlier than originally planned and called Langmere to check if it would be too early to possibly check in of which they said no problem go ahead, to then be approached by a very angry, rude and unforgiving cleaner who basically told us to go away and come back later!!! A little embarassing for us but the accomadation was excellent.
Beautiful immaculate lodge. Perfect base for exploring Norfolk.
went to langmere lakes - three lodges for New Years. There are only a few lodges on this site and its very quiet with no reception ( when we went) and there is no shop or entertainment . Its down a very small lane and seems in the middle of nowhere hence I gave 7 for location . However the surroundings are lovely. The lodges were clean and comfortable .plenty of freshtowels . warm and cosy and the view of lakes lovely. Very peaceful. Close to Norwich - can do park and ride or drive int the city, about 20 minutes. I had to drive to a small grocery shop as I forgot my toothpaste so nothing within easy walk. there are pubs nearby but would be long walk ? 1.5,miles and very small roads which are dark so could not walk with three children safely.
I really enjoyed my stay and would go again and use as a base to drive and visit local places .
Excellent accommodation, had the heating on about 2 and it was plenty warm enough even though it was frosty out. Lovely inviting cabin with all you need, comfy bed, showers were good, kitchen did the job. Fridge had no door space so milk on its side which worked but check the top! Took 2 border collies, walks on leads on site, a field close by where we let them have a run before and after car trips. Key pad to get on site and a key code for the lodge so just left to get on with it. Will be back, loved it!
Had a lovely Christmas at the lodge, which was a lot larger than we thought it would be. Rooms, including the bathroom, were all large and very comfortable. Kitchen area was well equipped but the cutlery tray in the dishwasher needs replacing.
Lodge was comfortable shower leaked badly. No staff on sight at all during the week.
Lovely break at Langmere Lodges, will be going again!
Very peaceful setting. Modern, clean and spacious lodge.
